Certis Europe Response to Covid-19

The Management Board of Certis Europe decide to donate to the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) in support of its actions in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide.

Despite the difficulties we are all facing in the current Covid-19 crisis circumstances, for Certis Europe business continues as usual, albeit with our teams working from home. We would like to thank you for your continued support and your understanding in the unusual situations we are all experiencing.

We know that everyone is doing their best to help in the fight to control the Covid-19 pandemic. The branches of Certis all over Europe have taken various initiatives to help local residents and the health system and to support the horticultural and agricultural industries as best they can. In Spain Certis is supporting schemes to provide healthy food boxes to vulnerable people, while in Netherlands, Certis responded to a challenge to support the flower industry by purchasing flowers direct from producers and donating them to local nursing homes to give the residents and those caring for them a boost.  In the UK, the team their have been delivering potatoes to elderly neighbours who have been self-isolating in their homes.

In addition, the Management Board of Certis Europe decide to donate €100,000 to the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) in support of its actions in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide. The IFRC was chosen because of its capability to reach across the globe. These funds will be directed specifically to support people and their communities in countries whose health, economic and socio-political infrastructures are less developed than those in Western Europe and where Covid-19 is expected to have a significant impact.

We are proud to be part of the agricultural industry as it strives to continue growing and producing food and in which we all play a role. We recognize that we are very fortunate in many ways and hope that this support to the IFRC will contribute to making a difference in countries less able to support themselves.

In the meantime, we hope that you and your families continue to keep safe and well and thank you for your commitment to our business in these extraordinary times.
