With several years in technical and marketing roles at both Bayer and Syngenta, he joins Certis with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
New appointment at Certis
Nathan Whitehouse joins Certis UK as their new marketing manager.
“Agriculture has always been a part of my life. Both my grandfathers were farmers, and my father a seed production manager, so even as a youngster I was very involved,” says Mr Whitehouse.
“I studied at Nottingham University for a degree in plant and crop science followed by a masters degree in seed technology at Edinburgh University, both of which have provided me with a solid technical background.
“As my previous jobs progressed, I naturally migrated from technical roles towards marketing, and so completed a marketing diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
“One of the things I bring to my new role at Certis, is the balance of being able to understand the technical challenges facing customers, and finding potential ways to solve them,” says Mr Whitehouse.
He explains that the breadth of Certis’ crop protection portfolio was a big draw to the new job. “This role provides a number of opportunities with existing products and new projects in the pipeline, in the areas of both conventional chemistry and biologicals. So the learning curve doesn’t stop.
“The agricultural sector always has its challenges, but there are exciting times ahead. I’m very much looking forward to supporting the business, and it’s great to have joined at a time when Certis are celebrating their 15th year in crop protection as they grow from strength to strength,” says Mr Whitehouse.
